3 D CGI Newbee ART. Taranis

Hello modelers and artist of 3D Gladiators. My handle is Taranis and I am a member
of Colonial Fleets and a member here formerly known as potemkin. But I never posted anything. Recently I was able to buy LIGHTWAVE 8 and am still getting use to it abilitys. With help from Warrior and Titon  .

I have a number of renders posted there and decided to post them here. Some of you will see you own hard work and fantastic models. I hope I have done then some justice. From Star Trek Star Wars and of course BSG.

I hope I have all the model makers name in these pic's if not please let me know and to the model makers Thanks of your hard work. You can find the BSG pic's in Fleets.

Taranis

Feel free to upload these to the Gallery, too.

I have some old pics from the 3DG archives I need to put up there myself...

Taranis modeling is my passion. I prefer that to texturing and animating by leaps and bounds.

Someday i may actually put it all together.

I have yet to go anywhere near the Texturing and animation. But I would like to learn how to add character to Sean's Falcon cockpit model

Ahh yes, texturing and animation. Good luck!
I like the 1701 shot myself. Nice scene.

Great artwork. If you think of yourself as a newbie, then I have no chance of ever getting anything as good. Keep up the good work( and make the rest of us feel like a left-handed money banging on a rock).

Its a funny thing finding old artwork .. and looking back to where I started ..

When I first started to use Lightwave I could hardly model a box.. and that comes ready made

the thing about these are the great models and ok lighting from me .. and it just ok .. not great ..

some of the images at the start of this thread I have just added to the Gallery
after a delay of er a few years .. since June 1st, 2005. nearly 4 years ..

And this thread came in handy. The image of the Enterprise in Spacedock with all the little utility vehicles and Miranda-class helped me fix your thumbnail problem in the gallery. I love that image, BTW, it has a great STIII through STVI feel to it.
