I totally missed this at FSW when it was first posted two weeks ago, but here's the direct link (http://pub120.ezboard.com/ffarscapediscussionfrm101.showMessage?topicID=860.topic) to some stuff from a very frank interview in Starlog with Rockne S. O'Bannon.

According to him, there's basically no hope (or urge amongst Henson) to try to get FarScape continued for two years, at which time SFC's rights to the eps will end and the show will be available for syndication. Apparently, one of the prime reasons that it hasn't been picked up is because Henson actually subtly suggested that people wait to do so. Interesting economic move :wtf:

“That has been the stumbling block in getting a TNT or even a syndication company to say, ‘Yes, we would love to produce new episodes.’ What they want is to marry it with the syndication of the original 88. So there is a possibility that a few years down the line—once we’ve pried the show from SFC’s cold, dead fingers ( )—that we might be able to reconstitute it then.”

This will be a slap to SFC face when this comes about now won't it?
What do you bet that SFC won't re-run one single ep in that two years?

They do have it scheduled to air on Monday March 31, after the last episode of season 4. I can't seem to find a schedule for April though.

*shrug* I think he's entitled to slap SFC in the face all he wants, personally.

As I'm keen to say, there is no justice in this world. A great show dies needlessly and Sci-Fi is going to make sure it's dead and buried.
