Re: This is not a reboot
Yeah, I figured so. Those little containers were so basic and yet so cool at the same time. They even had miniature ones for when the scene called for them. :D

UPDATE...
Start out with a shot of the cargo bay interior and a shot of the shuttle bay interior. that's all I'm gonna do withthese for now I don't think they need a lot of detail. I also started to work on the textures for the upper saucer. I can see that I need to fix the coffee stain. The last shot is of the finished windows of the bottom of the saucer. |
Re: This is not a reboot
Yeah, if you're just going to be on the outside looking in, those rooms look plenty detailed.
Everything looks great, dude. I really like your version of the Saladin-class. Even if it weren't a Terran Empire vessel, it would be a cool refit version of Franz Joseph's classic design. :D |
Re: This is not a reboot
This is really coming along. Your shuttle bay interior is excellent. Your take on a deflector housing is a nice update.

Thank you.
UPDATE... A few more textures for the upper saucer. I'm happy with them for now I might tweek a bit here or there. There are also a few examples of what I want to do with the name of the ship. I'm not sure about the one I like more. |
Re: This is not a reboot
Your panel treatment is excellent.

Re: This is not a reboot
sweet .. I only wish I can work on models as well :)

Re: This is not a reboot
Nice texture work. :)

Re: This is not a reboot
It's nice to see large starship meshes with detailed interiors. So much more you can do with them cinematically.

UPDATE...
I got some more work done on the textures. I added some the green from the neck to the impulse crystal area. And I think I've finally got the look of the NCC number down.:D You can see more pictures at http://xfozzboute.wordpress.com/ |
Re: This is not a reboot
Shouldn't it be I.S.S. Saladin?
Looks damn spiffy, dude. :D |
Re: This is not a reboot
I'm doing both versions.
The rest of the pictures are on my blog. |
Re: This is not a reboot
This is a wonderful re-imaging of the Saladin - updated without loosing the feel of what made TOS ships look as they did.

Thank you.
That's what I was hoping for. UPDATE... I've got the finished interiors for the cargo and shuttle bays. I've got the final look and size of the NCC number and I added a few extra splatches to the hull. And just for the fun of it I started to block in the new Bonaventure. |
Re: This is not a reboot
Looks good!
I like how you're putting work into the shuttle bay. I don't know if it is as important to people who render still images, but I can tell you from an animator standpoint it's awesome to have a mesh where there is access to things like shuttle bays. Nice touch. :) The shot of the Saladin saucer section is also very nice. I agree with Jayru's comment about it. Good job! |
Re: This is not a reboot
Nice work on everything. The bays look sweet. I also like the textures, the slight cant to the Terran Empire logo is a nice touch. I'm also liking the looks of the Bonaventure so far. :)
|
Re: This is not a reboot
I had to tilt the empire emblem because it wouldn't fit.:D
|
Re: This is not a reboot
Ah, I didn't notice that before but I do now. Even so, it's still cool. :)

UPDATE...
More textures. I've been working on the textures the lower saucer. They're mostly done. I have to replace the ones on the deflector housing because they just don't appear to match very well. |
Re: This is not a reboot
Yeah, and then you removed the other two attachments and I was trying to click on them and getting a dumb message, so I reloaded the page and saw what you'd done. ;)
Looks great, bro. I really like the bussard dome, it's spiffy. :) |
