Even some of the controls are different in 10 than what you say to do in your tutorial, indicating there have been slight changes in that too.

Re: Building the Classic USS ENTERPRISE in Lightwave (now released)
Gorgeous work though I do prefer the JJ Abrahams version to that!

Re: Building the Classic USS ENTERPRISE in Lightwave (now released)
Thanks.....
I don´t care for the J.J. Abrams design at all myself. |

I dunno I like them seperate. I've used other programs, but the way lightwave works makes the most sense to me. |
Max seems to have a much faster work flow, i still use it lightwave, and think its great, need a modifier stack in lightwave which would be great, and get them combined as one to improve work flow.
Hypervoxels system is great in lightwave too When building your model , i always use reference planes in the views , single sided polys with the images mapped on, i just find it easier than using the backdrop image method, and its easier to scale up and down too. |

Read the PM I just sent you and stop double posting!! If you do it one more time, I will take action against you. I have better things to do than to keep merging your posts because you can't follow a simple forum rule.

Re: Building the Classic USS ENTERPRISE in Lightwave (now released)
Personally I like how Lightwaves Layout and Modeller are seperate ...... I have never used MAX so I cannot say.....
I started with Truespace, before switching to LW...... never went back..... |

Incredible work! I know I'm a couple years late, but thank you for sharing. I fear the loss of much productivity reading your blog ...

Re: Building the Classic USS ENTERPRISE in Lightwave (now released)
sorry for the delay in answering,,,,,,,,, Thanks I glad you like it..
I don´t get the point you making about loss of productivity after reading my blog.. is it that bad "LoL" |
Re: Building the Classic USS ENTERPRISE in Lightwave (now released)
Sorry for the confusion :) What I mean is that your blog is so good that I'm spending too much time reading it and not enough time doing what I'm supposed to be doing (like my job) :)

Re: Building the Classic USS ENTERPRISE in Lightwave (now released)
LoL.. ha ha .. well that is both good and bad........
Lucky I don´t get much time to post at the moment .. If you are trying the tut.. I would like to hear of your success and problems with it.. EG180 has run into different results in some areas.. of course he has a newer version of Lightwave.. if I ever upgrade again, I will see about addressing these results.. and a few omitions to make things a litter easier. |
