Men this is amazing, the explosions, camera moving, the sequence, congratulations, i hope someday make something little close to this. Good Work!

ST-Antares Writer October 13th, 2005 02:45 PM

Is there any way to get a smaller file size? Having my problems downloading it, the bandwich sucks.

inky_pens October 14th, 2005 10:02 PM

Bravo! Fantastic work! You havea good sense of motion, the animation has fluid pacing and keeps your attention. Which software did you use for this? The rendering is especially good with the particle effects. Tell us more..

Semadar October 15th, 2005 04:49 AM

Starmaster, i greed with inky_pens, can you tell us more about this master piece.

Nice work...

My first post in several weeks is me congratulating you on an EXCELLENT piece of work. I absolutely love the camera work in it - the fast zooms, the "handheld" feel of it all. Incredible.

I just watched the box-set of Firefly this week, in preparation for seeing the movie tomorrow, and they used the same kind of camera work. It's very effective, and has the added benefit of making the models seem much more real to the viewer.

I'll come to you when I get a few million bucks to do my pet project sci-fi movie. XFozzboute and Scaramanga can design and build the CG models, and you can do the animating... :D

Great work. I liked the camera movement, just like in the new series. :colwar:

Kham October 24th, 2005 06:17 PM

Didn't Zoic Studios do FX for Firefly as well as the new Galactica? They seem to be the masters of doing space battles handheld documentary-style.

Incredible job on the animation! You did a great job giving the feel of being along for the ride in one of the fighters.

How did you do the laser effects? Unlike the missles, they looked like they could have been done in a separate software package. That's probably my only critique (and a minor one at that) of your movie. The energy weapons effects looked a little flat.

The battle animation was excellent. The Camera motion felt like a recording of a home movie but if that's what you were going for, good job. lol

Nice work and good camera movement

Jin_Kazama November 29th, 2005 08:48 AM

yes it's cooool !

I liked this a lot. I think the jerky camera animation both added to and detracted from what is an excellent piece of work. I am ambivalent about the jerky movement. It was unexpected, and it definitely gave it a more realistic feel, but it was also distracting. Maybe tone that down a bit and it will be (to quote Goldilocks) "just right"!!

As far as everything else, WOW. The ship movement is very convincing, the choreography is fantastic... good job!

dekelso December 6th, 2005 12:23 PM

Man, this animation is excellent. The music fit in well, the lighting, sound effects and motion was top notch. It looked so real.
Like others, I'd love to know more of the production background. Wht software did you use?

Matths34 December 22nd, 2005 01:07 AM

Two words: im-pressive :jestor:

No, seriously, it's a beautiful piece of work.

Metryq January 27th, 2006 02:52 AM

As others have noted, you used Zoic's FIREFLY/GALACTICA hand-held camera look. Very nice. Excellent choreography. Lots going on, yet it flows nicely. Leads the eye.

batraymond February 1st, 2006 12:40 PM

I like it. I like the angle especially. Hope to get this good soon. Keep up the good work.

Trelawney February 6th, 2006 06:48 PM

jf3000 April 22nd, 2006 10:05 AM

Wow, could watch that for sometime, played the short episode over and over, guess it would of taken a long time to render this. What software did u use for this? Was anyone harmed in the making of this ? lol.

ownix May 14th, 2006 03:10 PM
