Planetary Rings in Lightwave 7
Hello Fellow Galdiators,
I am posting this tutorial so that those interested can check it out. it was made for Lightwave, however if you use another program and are familiar with it's ins and outs, you should be able to translate this to work for you as well. I noticed that there is no Tutorial Section here, maybe we can start one. Just an idea from a newbee . . . . Anyway here is the tute hope you like it Planet Rings Santee (gp) |
Oh, that is so cool! I never thought of doing it that way.
I really do need to get back into 3D...I haven't opened Lightwave in I can't tell you how long. |
yepper . . . it's a tight little tutorial, it's also the first one I have ever done. I never thought I would be in a position to show someone what to do with Lightwave, but things change.
I am glad it showed you a new twist, I figure if I make at least one person get a new concept about lightwave then it was worth it . . . . :D gp |
Keep up the good work :)

Very interesting method for making rings. Going to give this a whirl.
Thanks. Ron  |
Very clever, and you can use this method for more then just planetary rings, you could make a huge asteroid field this way

Hypervoxel manipulation is very useful for a lot of things, . . I am doing a scene where Blowing leaves are a part of the look, I am going to use the voxels for this as well, maybe even put out a tute on that . . . gp |
Looks great :what:
