Re: Matt Jefferies Shuttle

Actually that design "blends" a lot better with the Enterprise exterior. Very few straight edges, rather, swooping curves and arcs.

I saw this project "evolve" at the TrekBBS art section some time ago. The existing Jefferies' doodles seems "contradictory". Some suggested a fairly wide, almost "pill shaped" saucer with a tapering, trailing aft section, other illos implied a narrow fuselage, somewhat like an aircraft. Obviously, RedSpar opted for the "roomy" design.

Now, Jefferies drawings don't suggest it as they appear "fixed", but I think it would be cool if the "upswept" nacelles dropped into a "flight" configuration after "take-off".

Sincerely,

Bill
