THE LAST STARFIGHTER - FLEETYARD

The movie "The last Starfighter" is now 40 years old.
Time to build a Spaceship that I want make since 2008. Now comes something... Something big.

I tried to find reference-material about this ship (aside from screenshots - I've made 130 by myself).
Nothing.
No measurements - no orthographic pics - no mesh.
I can't believe that this ship was never build as a 3D-Mesh by a fan...

I tried to calculate the measurements of the Kodan Command Ship by setting the width of the Kodan Deck Fighter by 17,8 Meters by a length of 10,4 Meters and a height of 2,8-3 Meters.

If this guess is nearly right, than the Command Ship has the following measures:

- length = 940 Meters
- width = 1480 Meters
- height = 220 Meters

More or less...

I've watched a few scenes on TV where the Gunstar flies by, at the end of the movie and it seems to me that this measures for the Command Ship matches with the supposed measures of the Gunstar.

Yesterday I've started with the basics.

I've downloaded the Gunstar and the Kodan Deck Fighter here in 2008 but never used it for a render-scene.

I hoped that someone will create the Command Ship but nothing happend...
I'm sure I use the Gunstar, when this Baby is ready (and I plan to create my own Deck Fighter).

So - a little more basics for the Command Ship.

I've changed the basic-color for the ship and added the marks and some stripes.

Today I have worked at the front and added the rear details, the tower and the top-structure.

I found a few screenshots of the Game in the WWW but there are not enough details to identify IMO.
I've used over 100 screenshots from the movie, that I have made, for reference so far. There is more "trial and error" by creating this mesh, like by working on most of my other spaceships...

I've used the two shots from the movie for the basic shape. Not much but better than nothing.

BTW: More details and a missing structure at the lower half between the main-thrusters and the main-structure.
I've made also the intro-pic with my old Rylos-Planet-Mesh, made in 2008 (just with using procedural textures). With and without title.
