Awesome work, Taranis!! I love classic Galactica. I'm sure I'd love the new one, though, but I don't have cable so I don't have the sci-fi channel. You really did a great job at bringing the classic Galactica to life. That's probably how the old show would have looked if it had been done today.
Did you do the backgrounds yourself, or are they pre-made?

Dude, that's a sweet job of blending models and lighting to a pre-made background. That's not so easy to do.
Well, I had a render cooking and then TrueSpace stopped responding and I had to end task and restart it. That doesn't happen a lot and it pisses me off when it does.

I was Cussing and kicking my PC over the weekend . Have to buy a hammer kicking ruins the shoe leather ..
BTY I have some more BSG art over at Colonial Fleets so any other BSG i do will be posted there and not here as keeping with the designs of 3dgladiators and CF seperate as warrior disigned .. BYW IF YOU NOT A MEMBER of CF you should as it celebrates the original BSG show. infact if im right its the very first site that I posted 3dart starting when I use Turespace

I could be wrong, but I think Warrior just doesn't want the BSG stuff in the galleries. As for the forums, it's all good, I think. After all, this site is called 3D Gladiators, not Non BSG 3D Gladiators.
Don't worry if that makes no sense. I just woke up a few minutes and my coffee is brewing and I'm not making much sense to myself right now.

T is correct. I prefer not to be running two sites with the same content Kinda redundant for an owner

I see. Well, once I get a couple more mods from CF I'll start an art thread over there and do a link over here
I just hope I'm up to the task of creating some worthy BSG pics :cylon:

I have Steve's Galactica in its original tS format and it takes a chunk out of my PC's memory to even render it by itself without any anti-aliasing. I might have to save that one for when I finally get a little ahead and manage to get a new computer.

I had the some problem .. that one of the reasons I switched to LW .. rendering times are much faster .. how much RAM do you have..

Actually, it's not the render times that are an issue. I don't mind sitting through a long render. But, when I have a large model in a scene, just setting up the scene is a pain in the ass because my computer is old and responds sluggishly.

Actually, Galactica matters are supposed to be handled at this site's sister site, www.colonialfleets.com Taranis posts over there too. So, he might have some more over there and maybe we can get him to throw up a link.

Thanks Tanker I appreciate your comments.
I haven't done any BSG pictures in a while but there's is more over at CF. I will look for the links but these are my best
for BSG imo ..
But if you want to search yourself look under Taranis or potemkin as I was once known .. but I have more Trek art work than BSG
