Resistance is right on this one - the spelling is different depening on what context you use the word in.

I would guess they were for cargo containers, maintenance panels, things of that nature - just to help give interior sets a bit more detail.

Out of curiosity, were these pictures completely computer generated, or did you create actual labels, print them off, stick them onto something, then take a picture of it? Just wondering...

Elowan, Id say theres a real good reason why they are not flat and are shot in perspective, to keep people from just copying the image and stealing the labels. Plus it just looks more interesting.
