A show I worked on
Hi guys!
Here's a link to the show.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFwlwzrwLmc
I designed and built the creature you see in the clip.
If anyone sees the show please give me a shout back.
I'd like to know how it looked in motion.

Re: A show I worked on
Dude!
I almost watched that tonight except for one thing.
When I read the description of the show it made no sense.
I lived in Arizona, I've been to the Grand Canyon... There are no Aztecs there.
Had it said 'Anasazi' I would have been all over it.
So I figured it was just one more in the endless stream of crappy made-for-scifi channel films and so I played guitar and drank beer instead.
Zoinks man!
I'm going to DVR it and watch it now!
I vvish I had known ahead of time.
Anyway - kudos on having your work used in a TV show!
Unless you're a Jaded old bastard and your stuff gets used all of the time, in that case 'Thttttppppt!' to you!

Re: A show I worked on
Thanks guys.
I'm not expecting a lot from the show but it was fun to work on.
The IMDB does not even list the team responsible for the special effects
As reliable as wikipedia I guess.

Sad but true.
But still it's pretty crappy that they didn't give proper credit to their CG artists.

Re: A show I worked on
It's gotta be cool to just know that your work is being used like that. It doesn't look like my type of thing either but, from what we could see, the creature looked cool.
@Fretslayer, I think you're taking that crap about the Grand Canyon a little too literally, dude.

Perhaps but I also don't think I'd watch a movie about rabid flying monkey-sharks (summoned by a cyber ouji board) taking over the moon either.
LOL!
Next time it's on I'm going to watch it so I guess I would watch that rabid flying monkey-sharks (summoned by a cyber ouji board) that take over the moon film after all!

Re: A show I worked on
Ha I have to wait to see it in January or March here on pay per view.
That's when Superchannel gets it.
What a ripoff.

Re: A show I worked on
What did you work on?
Was it a monster or something?
I know that's probably a stupid question but I am stupid person.

Re: A show I worked on
I designed built and textured the main villian/creature.
Tim Albee animated it and Kelly (Kat) Myers did all the compositing work.

Very cool. I'll make sure I DVR it next time it's on so I can check out your handy work.

Yah but it's not my fault I asked.
I never learned how to read.
Oh the shame.

Re: A show I worked on
Ya he has done a lot of work.
Kaze Ghost Warrior might ring a bell.
He and Kelly also worked on BSG.

Re: A show I worked on
I love that show. Not quite as much as the original, but it's good. And they did a great job on animating the Cylons. They gave them a nice "lumbering beasts" style of movement.

Re: A show I worked on
I really like the way they did the CG update to the 'old school' Centurions.
Their legs are the part that really impressed me.

Once I get permission from the Production company I'll upload some WIP pics of the creature.

If I had seen your post earlier, I would have at least scanned through it to see the effects.
