Big Scene Proj.
Okay, I saw a magazine cover the other day that gave me an idea for a rather ambitious project (well, for me). It is going to require a number of objects and all of them high poly. Here is one of the first objects and, no, it is not a new NASA design idea and is not supposed to be any that may be out there.
It's just something I threw together:
As soon I get it detailed I'll move on to the next item.

Looks interesting so far, although the wings might be a bit to wide if this is for Earth re-entry. If for Mars however, looks fine.
Waiting for more....

Prety cool. Some sort of light cargo transport? I like the idea of the booster on the back, it certain looks different to everything else out there, and very interesting.

Yeah, small inter-system transport thingy. Can land on a planet if need be. The booster drops off but not into the atmosphere - it is attached for range and power to get distance. It picks it up from a station or ship.
However, she might go away and get a entire remake as I was afraid it might just get seen as a shuttle - or Earth / Terran design. I'll have to think about it.
Anywho - here is ship 2 of ? (maybe 3 more) that will go into the finished scene. It has a long way to go and you can see the shuttle in there for scale. This ship can 'jump' to other star systems - small scout / transport. Everything aft of the dome section is engine / star-drive.

I like the original design for the second ship. Keep it up!

Update on the transport - added the windows on the dome side. A few minor details in the engine area.

The ship look dramatically more avanced than the shuttle (200+ years). You might want to try redesigning the shuttle to make it look as advanced as the ship is.

I've actually decided to scrap the shuttle in favor of a different design. It will still be a very small ship but more in line with the other designs that will be seen. I've already 'sketched' out the follow-on design to this ship and 'concepted' the object that follows that one.

The beginnings of texture. I still need to add some widgets and other details, the textures help figure out where I want things.

How the heck did I miss this thread? The textures are real tasty. And I like the shuttle, don't scrap it!

More detail. I have added docking ports that are along the flat side of the main section. There are eight and they have receiveing pads and lights set up. Also added more widgets / greebles.

Update -
More work on some added but not very visible details. Also, tweaking and finalizing the textures.
