3 D CGI The Protector

The Protector is a ship designed to compliment the Battlestar Galactica as a Fleet warship.

It's smaller than the big "G" and carries Cobras rather than Vipers

Note: This conversion is a different one than Fabio's. This one was an OLD LW 5.6 conversion. His was a LW 7.

I like it too and would like to make some comments about it. BUT I don't know who did what, with what or when, wouldn't understand even if you told me, and don't want my comments to be about someone else's work. I'm sure that's clear as mud ........Mom

Steve,

How ironic! Darrell lives about 2 blocks away from me and yet we just spent almost 2 hours on the phone dicussing this teamwork stuff about this particular image. I'm somewhat enlightened now. I was really confused about him taking your stuff and doing conversions to it, wondering why that didn't seem to upset you. Now that is more clear too.

Any way, the 2 of you do work well together........The best of both worlds?........Darlene

My talent is making the models, I could not texture an egg, so people can take what I make and put their talent to work and make them look great as I cannot. Darrell is very good at meshes as well

My only critique, since I'm not a modeller, would be that the ship and the background don't seem to fit together quite right. It's a subtle thing, but the background is a very soft, while the ship is very sharp. Perhaps a slight softening of the image as a whole would help.

Nonetheless, it shows off the ship nicely, which is the point. So - kudos!

Darrell,
I agreed that the background and the ship didn't quite gel together and that it was subtle. But otherwise I didn't say the same thing. I said just the opposite. The background is too busy so the ship doesn't stand out enough.

So now you have 2 diverse opinions from 2 great minds. Which means the image is great. It's the critics that are nuts .....Mom

Perhaps it was stupidity leakage from an alternate subspace domain...

(Gee - techno-babble sure is fun)
