Enterprise Era Ship....I think
I know I'm gonna regret starting another project but while messing around with ideas for a Andorian ship I came up with this. I thought it was kind of Enterprise Era like so it might be a warp 3 ship.

Re: Enterprise Era Ship....I think
Something like it at least.
UPDATE...
Added a whole mess of details to the engine.
The saucer and bridge are just temps until I decide on what direction I want to go in with this.

Looks good. A bridge between the technologies of Archer's 'Enterprise' era and Kirk's 'Enterprise.'

UPDATE...
Well I have a little bit more. Mainly the warp pylons. I think I'm getting a good idea on where this is going to go.

It will be interesting to see what you do with the thing that currently looks like a Popsicle stick. Great work on the pylon detailing.

I have no clue what I'll do with the popsicle stick.
UPDATE...
More work on the pylons and the underside of the engines.

Re: Enterprise Era Ship....I think
That's OK, none of the Enterprise-era Starfleet ships had names (unless the script called for one.)
Looks great, dude. I really love the details on the pylons and engines.

I don't do low poly ships.
UPDATE...
Well I think I've finished the warp pylons. I also made a few changes to the spine. I like the way it looks now better.

I hear you on that one. Low poly is too limiting.
Great work on the nacelle pylons, those look sweet. I also like the flow you gave the spine.

Re: Enterprise Era Ship....I think
It's not just that it's limiting.
I just don't think I can do it.
I look at something and automatically think that could use more detail not less.

So, in other words, it's limiting.
Seriously, I know what you mean. I'll be nearing the end of a build and, especially if it's one I'm designing as I go, I'll keep finding little spots here and there that "need a little something else." Probably most of us who (at least sometimes) design our own ships do that.

Re: Enterprise Era Ship....I think
UPDATE...
I rescaled the warp engines so they don't look so enormous. I decided to place the impulse engine on the spine as well as a few more details.
I threw in the Enterpise to show scale.

Re: Enterprise Era Ship....I think
Are you going to be building up the area around the impulse engine a little more? Right now it looks kinda just stuck on there to me.

Re: Enterprise Era Ship....I think
I don't know I might add a few things but right now I'm a little bit burned out and having trouble thinking about what to do.
I might just finish the textures for the Saladin and take a bit of a break.

Yeah, I know the feeling. Sometimes you just need to step back and take a modeling break.

Re: Enterprise Era Ship....I think
Thanks to Mr Drexler for posting some great pictures of the NX-01 and several other ships from Star Trek Enterprise. I've been motivated to get back to work on this ship. Right now I'm focused on the bridge. I'm also beginning to rethink my original idea of this ship being before the NX-01 and I'm now thinking it might be a ship used closer to the Romulan War.

Re: Enterprise Era Ship....I think
Dude, thanks for the heads-up on the Drex files. I'm in heaven looking at the images of the S.S. Emmette right now. I've been waiting for someone to post pics of that beauty but I don't follow his blog (I really should start.)

Between him and Eaves you can go insane with their blogs.
Drexler was going to shut his down May 2 but it looks like he may have changed his mind.

I hope he did. I've been following John's but I keep forgetting about Doug's. They're definitely some talented dudes and their blogs are Trekkie heaven.
