Default Phasers and Photons

So, anyone know hoe to make good phaser and photon torpedo effects using Photoshop?

well, there's the lens flares, but from what i hear they are a little limited.

i use paint shop pro. but my suggestion is making a line for the phaser on a new layer. then duplicating that layer. add a gaussian blur to the lower one. and mabye a bit of noise to the top one.

but i would just do it in a 3d proggy...

Zz . . . I will have to try that out and see how well it works.

However, it is best to use a 3D proggies when trying to achieve such feats.

well, because i have TS, i pretty much have to use this a lot of the time. TS dosn't have many of the SFX of other programs. it works ok, i used it for the solar panel battle scene i did. here's a link to my results (this was also a long time ago when i wasn't very good at PSP)
