Please - tell me what do you think about the torpedoes and lighting.
And I will be very gratefull if anyone could show me the way to those bitmapped widows that look as if there was a room behind them. I have tried but it has looked awfull.

I think there's a bit of a mismatch between the star and the light falling on the ship. You seem to be pretty close to that star, judging by the amount of glare, but the ship is very dark. The ship looks like it's relying almost entirely on self-illumination.
The banding on the bussard looks too distinct; it looks sort of like a circus tent. I think it should be a lot fuzzier.
I think the ships lights look too grey. It looks as if the lights are on but the shades have been pulled down.
I hope Constellation has her shields up.

Where'd I put those night vision goggles? At that distance you would have a lot more light on the highlight points - I think (never been that close to a sun).
There is (I lost it) great tutorial on our site on bussards. Some one help me here - it's in one of the topic areas you wouldn't think to look. Anyways, it works great and I was able to adapt it for Max quickly and love how they turn out.

More lighting on the hull and shadows with well defined edges based on the close proximity to the light source.

OK, I hve made several changes to the settings of all lights. I must admit I am have tried to achieve somewhat darker look but the atmosphere of those pics wasn't somehow right. What about these:

I'm on the bussards right now - hopefully they will come out a little bit better.
These images should form something like a mini-story - I plan to show you how the things are gonna end with the poor Constitution...

Wait and you will see ...
I could tell you, however, the first torpedo will miss - maybe
