Default Importing

ok...i have a mesh and i want to import it into a scene with another mesh or whatever. I'll export it to a 3ds file and the problem i find is that when i import that .3ds mesh it moves all the parts around and shifts shazbot....is there a way that i should prepare the mesh before exporting it?

make any sense?

Why are you exporting to .3ds ? ... this will almost always cause some kind of degridation to the mesh.

If you want to add another MAX file to the scene you are working on use the "Merge" option under the "File" menu.
