this maybe the wrong forum, but ...
... i´ll try anyways :-)
i need some reference images of max (jessica alba) from dark angel
cause, i want to make a playermodel for JK II
i found a good dress she is wearing in the series, that i can model (the wide pants in designate this are not so suitable) so i choose the skintight beige (whatever this is in english) pants with her black top she is wearing in i think it was bag em when logan shows here this blinkin signal thingy
so if you have some pics of that, or know i can get some, please tell me, i need front at back shot if possible
i would make some of my own, but i only have the episodes as .mpg file on my computer i donÝt know how to make a shot of it (when i do with print screen i get an empty mediaplyer window)
thanks in advance to all that try to help me
i really need those pics *gettinmad*

Can you do the other way around? To export a model from a game to Max? Can you tell me how if that’s possible?

should be possible
there is a .glm exporter for milkshape out there
check http://www.jediknight2files.com/
they should have it under tools or so :-)
then you only need to get milkshape
http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-s.../download.html
and then you can import the glm model in milkshape and export from there to .3ds, i think
but i am not soo sure
or you dl all the mod making utilities and use the .xsi importer for max and import the root xsi files for one of the models :-)
hope this helps

I see… i will try that. I assume it would work for some other games , Bridge commander, maybe Counter strike… so, in theory, i could use models from games in MAX for pictures and animations. Right?

yepp
you only need an import plugin that can read the game specific files or a program that can import this files and export in a filetype that max can import
(mostly milkshape should do the job)

Just a moment. JK2 models are in PK3 format. Milkshape can’t read them. I downloaded some models from www.jediknight2files.com and they are also in pk3. How do I read them?

ehm no, they are not in pk3 format, pk3 is only a "pak" file
like zip
it is exactly a zip, only renamed to pk3
the only thing you have to do is take winzip, winrar or any other zipping program, open your pk3 file and extract the files you need out of it

Ahh! I see now! I haven’t seen the icon of any program like WinZip or winrar so i haven’t assumed that there is something behind it.
Thanks.
Say, you sad you could make Jessica Alba for JK2. That means you can model someone’s face in max (right?).
Do you have any tutorial on how to model human faces?

well you don´t see the logo cause in windows programs detect if the file is for them or not from the ending of the file
not like on linux, there the file ending is irrelevant
and well i try to make a model jessicas face, but well it´s not that easy as i thought
and well i think, i throw the idea of making a JK II playermodel of her in to the trash, cause well, it is so crazy to make a playermodel, at the end you have around 1000 or 2000 objekts in your scene
and that´s crazy i think
so well besides my other things i am workin on a face model of jessica :-)
maybe someday i´ll finish it *G*

Let me know what you made once you are finished. I was making some faces too but without much success (without any success). Drop me a mail at ddiriis@ptt.yu with some pictures.
My ideas were not related to JK2 though. Not even with Star wars. I was planning of making some big Star trek animations.
