A ship WIP
Made this ship for a competition over at spacebattles. Just a fun little sidetrack. Anyway, I couldn't finish it in time for the deadline so I figured I would continue it here.

As you can see from parts, it needs to be detailed up somewhat. And textured (to the best of my ability - by making it look like a 6 year old made the colour scheme) of course.
Mainly though I was looking for any tips or suggestions to try out. As at the moment, it seems like somethings missing or a part just isn't 'meshing' (ugh) well. Also, any tips on how to texture this thing would be great as I have no idea. For the moment though, I'm just going to throw nurnies at it until it makes my brain hurt.
Cheers

Great job! That's an excellent design. What's the rough size?

Thanks for the comments guys.
I have added a few more details, which aren't that noticable. Also added some heavy turrets (which I'm pretty happy with) and finished off most of the back. Engines are a little more detailed but I plan to have a lot more go into them. But I would say most of the surface detailing is done, so I can start putting nurnies on top.

Phoenix - There's always room for improvement.
Skyhawk - Its not properly scaled yet (I always leave that to the last minute for some reason), although a quick scaling estimate would be about 3 Km's. But if you mean poly count, I believe its around 200,000.
Again, any criticisms would be welcome as I am shooting for a movie quality ship... which it certainly isn't at the moment.

Dark Lord, why are you using .txt as the extension? Are you a Mac user or something? It needs to be .jpg. The extension must always match the format.
