Perhaps if you make those two nose pieces a single piece, it would look better.
The only other thing I'm not sure about is the window (I'm assuming it's a window) across the bow - if the ship is 300 meters long, than you're looking at a single window about 30 meters wide. You might want to split it into a few sections.
Aside from that, I think you're off to a great start. It has a sort of "Fifth Element" feel to the design. I assume it's meant to co-exist with the ships we saw in your previous threads?

Fantastic Model!
I can really only reccomend one thing.
Slant the sides of those panels on the front, either that or make them wrap around.
Something on the side of the Bow is missing, it needs something to take up space
(I dont think windows would cut it)

GP: Observe the difference in nose between the top 2 and bottom pic... it's not another nose section, it's a large turret... I just don't like the shape of it right now.
The window will be getting a modelled interior and I might actually just keep the window as one big pane but accentuate the reality of the thickness by doing nice detail around the interior edge where the window joins the hull, and making it like 4 meters thick :P
It is, yes, and I have a pair of other ships in a similar vein that will serve as larger ships of the same empire as this one.
FoaS: The panels on the front are meant to look like just a big hella tough area of thick armor plate... I felt that the straight edges helped to accentuate that, not to mention the polygon structure from freezing the subpatches makes it almost impossible to have them go back any further and I don't feel like stepping that far back in the modelling pipeline... I think I will round the corners of the top and bottom panels though, that's been bugging me.
And yes, I agree about something on the sides of the bow - I'm thinking about putting big comm arrays on either side pointing forwards and up at a 45 degree angle so they almost give the effect of horns on the 'helmet' of the front. I'll probably do those and then some sort of beefy structure of some kind... dunno yet.
Other things I have in mind are a shwack more guns, a big comm array sticking backwards out the bottom of the nose, a couple lesser command decks for gun control, and then of course an utterly ridiculous amount of detail and some kick-ass texturing

Added some more chunks along the bottom, pod thingies on the sides of the 'head' (probably going to add a pair of guns to them on the front), and some retro thrusters in the connecting arm thingies... thoughts?
And yes I know there's shadow errors, the bottom of the nose is open at this point, awaiting a new turret.

Very interesting - though I think the new fixtures might be better if they replaced the turrets that are currently beneath them.

Actually I wanted them about that high to correspond to the Roman style olive leaves, or alternately horns depending on how you look at it. Going for sort of a neo-Roman feel to this race.

The ass-kicking has begun, I see. I can't wait to see this baby in some scenes.
