New Hunley scenes
Aside from 'outward bound' here are two new scenes to group with the ship. I obviously have the full sized TGA files.
This is the Hunley at a yet to be figured out Neutral zone outpost. There is a Amarillo class cruiser leaving the docking facility.
Shuttle departure (she carries 4)
I want these to look good so give feedback

I dunno about that first one. Just something about the asteroid thing...
The second one looks excellent.
You don't need TGA files for the scenes. Just the views need TGA's. The scene files need to be at 1024x768 w/no Glads or SF-A logos on them. We'll add those.

The first one seems a bit dark and without a clear focus. Maybe bring up the light a bit (although this is interstellar space) or else add a nebula or a star background (I'm guessing stars should be visible in interstellar space, although I've never actually been there). You could also make the asteroid much bigger in the background to emphasize its size (sort of like the death star!). Another interesting view might be to bring the camera closer to the ship to get a kind of wide-angle lens effect with the engines receding at different angles.
The second one is great. Maybe since the registry isn't visible on the engines or on the front of the hull, you could add the name of the ship in on a small arc above the phaser turret like is done on the back of navy ships and on the back of my UES Fireball.

You know I just cannot seem to get the big rock thing to work for me. So for now - I'm giving it up. I will just have to get more creative somewhere else.
Thanks each of you for the feedback on the shuttle pic. The 1024 version is pretty cool. Since the shots will be grouped with the ship I figure one without a clear registery is okay.

Don't give up, Thomas! Making a big grey rock look interesting is not easy. You might try varying the shades of grey or adding more surface details, such as craters. Also, maybe you need more evidence of human activity, like lights, antennae, power cables, laser turrets, orbiting ships, docking bays, signage, surface domes with vegetation, homing beacons, etc. How about a big light shining into the camera or onto the incoming spaceship? Maybe I'll take a crack at this too.
Also, is this supposed to be a hidden outpost or a visible outpost?

The rock has stuff all over it! I added a window mask to the rock texture and it is illuminated. I put domes on it too but they scaled poorly and I gave them the boot. I just cannot imagine useful asteroids with surface detail.
Maybe later.

Hey wait - I just got an idea after re-reading your post Masao. I'll give it one more try - you'll see it on Tuesday most likely (yes your Tuesday).
