Default BEST video card for 3D Max 4

AS you guys know me building a super duper machine....so what do you guys think is the best video card for max? AGP only.....


BTW this IS a 3d max question! SO cheeeal.....I say that be chill

I am very happy with my Matrox Millenium G400 - 32 MB.
It is 2 years old already but it still works beautifully with MAX 4.2.
Maybe check the updated versions of the G400.

I don't know about max4 but my Elsa Gladiac Geforce2 runs max3 like a dream. I've heard the ATI Radeon is also a killer card to use.

I was talking with a computer techy a few months back, the ATI chipset used to be (still might be) built specifically to render stuff that max puts out. I remember my ATI all in wonder did a wonderful job with max...I'm sure the radeon works just as well.

You might want to try a Geforce3 based card. I've had mine for around 2 weeks now, and it's incredibly fast in 3D.
