Hey, glad to have you back! And just how dark does it get when the sun does go down? Dark enough for some quality stargazing?
So how are connecting to the internet and what speeds are you getting?
Any adventures along the way? Did you get your car?
Any surprises in the house?

Don't know yet but I've heard it does here. We've had hurricane remenants passing through and cloudy skys. Now there is a full moon. I'm about 25 miles from both Germantown and Memphis which are large cities. Once you leave them and head east (towards me) the towns are very small and well spread out. Downtown is usually about 5-6 buildings.

Satellite at about 1Mbps. There is an upgrade coming early next year that we will be able to get that should bring speeds up to 3-4Mbps. I was at 3Mbps with COMCAST digital. The service we have is the Pro version so that we can have the higher speed. This costs more but the basic version is known to have problems with VPN services and we need those for the wifes job.[/QUOTE]

Went down into the Grand Canyon, hiked down about 1000 feet and then back up. Did the 'look how silly and peer over the edge' tourist stuff.
In Sedona AZ. We went climbing some rather large rocks in a park just outside of the city limits. We probably should not have gone as high as we did given that we have no experience doing such things and there is no one out there if you fall

Nope just lots of work to do. The house is only 4 years old but the paint colors are odd for our taste. They used a lot of wallpaper as well which is equally odd - it all has to go. A few of the windows need work as they appear to have been left open during rain. The house did pass it's inspection though so everything should be solid.
Waiting for a barn restorer to come out and give us an assesment on the barn.
Had to have the field mowed - took 12 hours!
Let the dog out to pee the other night and she disappeared for about 10 minutes. I called her a few times and was getting mad when I thought I heard her coming up the porch steps. Turned out to be a skunk she chased right at me! The poor little critter came up and stared right at me and of course raised it's gun (tail). I just stood there - talked nice to it and let it walk right by and off the other side of the porch. Almost wet myself. Still don't know why, but am thankfull, it did not just let the dog have it in the face.

So, how goes the renovations? Having fun taking down that wallpaper? Took me several days at my house. What a mess.

I'm staying downtown, just 2 blocks from the stadium. Game 6 was yesterday afternoon, which the cards won in the 12th. Tonight is game 7! St. Louis is completely nuts about baseball because there's almost nothing else here.

I had no idea there was still a baseball season - Missed 'The King of Queens' season premier cuz' the BoSoxs were able to hold on and tie up the Yankees. Still, I'll be content to read the WS results.

Thanks! Got the mail - you're the first one. I put that in because the wife was getting so many requests from friends and family to do it - and of course no one has yet!

Don't you hate that? You can really see who is full of it and who is not.
Masao - Did you get to go to any of the games?
Can't say I'm much interested myself.
