Default Farrah Fawcett dies from cancer

Farrah Fawcett dies from cancer
Thu 25 Jun 6:33 PM. By Press Association

Farrah Fawcett has died aged 62, following her lengthy battle with cancer.

The actress - who became an icon after starring in cult 70s TV show Charlie's Angels - had recently returned to St. John's Health Center in Los Angeles for treatment for cancer, first diagnosed three years ago.

Ryan O'Neal, her partner since 1982, was at Farrah's side throughout her final days.

Earlier this week Ryan had revealed he and Farrah planned to marry after 27 years together. The couple had a son together, Redmond, who was born in 1985.

On June 24 Farrah's publicist wrote on social networking site Twitter that the actress was close to death and had been read the last rites.

Farrah was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006 and began treatment, including chemotherapy and surgery.

Four months later, on her 60th birthday, she released a statement saying she was delighted to have been given the all clear.

In May 2007 the cancer returned and Farrah reportedly sought alternative treatment in Germany.

Her condition became critical in April this year, after the cancer spread.

I'll bet that Sanford fellow is happy to not have been a headline yesterday.

They say (who they are, I don't know but I might be one of them! LOL) that celebrities die in threes.

Looks like it happened that way this time.
1) Ed McMahon
2) Farrah
3) Michael Jackson

David Caradine didn't die... He did that Obi Wan thing.
I'm sure of it.
LOL!

Well, professional pitchman Billy Mays was just found dead in his Tampa home.
It's going to be a weird story too. The FAA and Airline are already playing CYA.
Here's a bit of info:

The FAA is already deflecting blame for the death of Billy Mays -- claiming the legendary TV pitchman wasn't wearing a seat belt when he took a shot to the head during a rough landing on a flight he was on yesterday.

Here's what we know -- Billy Mays was aboard US Airways Flight 1241 flying from Philadelphia, which landed roughly when the front tire blew out as it touched down. After the flight, Billy told FOX 13 in Tampa that something struck him in the head -- here's Billy's actual quote:

"All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping. It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head."

We called the FAA for comment, and a spokesperson told us, "The passenger needs to wear a seat belt during landing and he didn't."

A spokesperson for US Airways did not want to comment until more information comes to light.

Billy posted about it last on his Twitter last night, saying, "Just had a close call landing in Tampa. The tires blew out upon landing. Stuck in the plane on the runway. You can always count on US Air.
