Jackie Cooper Died at 88 on May 3 2011

It both amazes and appalls me that, out of all of the websites that I visit with news, that only IMDb had a link to this story. Granted, it's not *the* death that everyone is talking about, but the man was a great actor and his death has generally gone unnoticed. I am, of course, referring to Jackie Cooper, Superman's Perry White from the movies made in the '70s and '80s. Jackie was an actor for 61 years, appearing in 127 movies and TV shows (according to IMDb) as well as a director and producer. He passed away on May 3 2011 at a Beverly Hills hospital after a sudden bout with illness.

Yeah, big time. I started watching Superman before bed because of this, and because I love that movie, partly because of the great acting in it. Jackie played the perfect Perry White, he's the standard by which I judge all others who play the role.
