Max seems to have a much faster work flow, i still use it lightwave, and think its great, need a modifier stack in lightwave which would be great, and get them combined as one to improve work flow.
Hypervoxels system is great in lightwave too
When building your model , i always use reference planes in the views , single sided polys with the images mapped on, i just find it easier than using the backdrop image method, and its easier to scale up and down too.

Re: Building the Classic USS ENTERPRISE in Lightwave (now released)
Read the PM I just sent you and stop double posting!! If you do it one more time, I will take action against you. I have better things to do than to keep merging your posts because you can't follow a simple forum rule.

Re: Building the Classic USS ENTERPRISE in Lightwave (now released)
Personally I like how Lightwaves Layout and Modeller are seperate ...... I have never used MAX so I cannot say.....
I started with Truespace, before switching to LW...... never went back.....

Sorry for the confusion What I mean is that your blog is so good that I'm spending too much time reading it and not enough time doing what I'm supposed to be doing (like my job)

Re: Building the Classic USS ENTERPRISE in Lightwave (now released)
LoL.. ha ha .. well that is both good and bad........
Lucky I don´t get much time to post at the moment ..
If you are trying the tut.. I would like to hear of your success and problems with it..
EG180 has run into different results in some areas.. of course he has a newer version of Lightwave.. if I ever upgrade again, I will see about addressing these results.. and a few omitions to make things a litter easier.

It was really just one little area and I do know how to fix it, I just haven't bothered with it. I got out of the mood to build this ship a long time ago. Some day, I'll get back to it, though.
