Yeah, doing work like that takes a lot of rendering. But, still, it's a lot less rendering than animation.

Hi,

I'm Russ, I spend alot of time with Poser and a novice with Truespace. I do alot of superhero and science fiction. I love the tutorials you have here and hope to be able to learn and contribute.

Welcome to the forums.

As far as TrueSpace goes, get out while you can. I've been using it for 11 or 12 years now and I've been trying to switch to something else but I don't like modeling in anything else because my brain is stuck in the TrueSpace way of doing things.

hello y'all. long-time jakeleg user of POVRay, various versions of Poser, a bit of carrara, a smidgen of Bryce, and a jigger of Terragen. i've also used 3ds Max a bit to aid in converting files to something Poser could use. found this site while searching for free poser content.

i've got a hankering for some freebie superhero characters that i can import into poser. found several that look usable at 3dmodel.domawe.com, but was wondering if any of you guys knew of some other sites, or had some that you were willing to share.

No sorry I have no idea where you would find what your looking for, save checking out the Daz sites or forums....

very few character driven modeling is done....

perhaps one of the other members could be of better help.

joequick and hal001 have some good stuff over at sharecg.com... there is also the renderosity.com freebies... both sites are good resources. heromorphs does too but its down atm. hope this helps.

Yes Joequick has some great starter suits in his gallery. Put them there for people following my "Let's Make Clothing" thread over in Nuts 'n Bolts in the Commons in the Daz3d forums. Slowly making our way through some ideas for the NX-01 crew.

thanks for the tips. familiar with the first 2 sites, but not heromorphs.
