Looks great, bro. I like the changes you made to the deflector housing.

Re: This is not a reboot
I've always liked the lolipops, and this is a neat twist on them. It would work as a Star Fleet Battles X-Ship, too, since their version of history never gets anywhere near the movies.

Re: This is not a reboot
I thought, before I start on the new saucer I'd take a look at what the next ship could look like.
This ship is the U.S.S. Swiften.
Under the ship I included the new type 2 warp engine. I decided to add reaction control thrusters.

Here is another ship.
The U.S.S. Archer. Many of the shapes are temp.

Re: This is not a reboot
That's pretty cool, dude. I've considered doing something like the Archer lots of times but I usually stop at the planning the catamarans in my head stage. (kinda like when I think of modeling the NX-01)

Re: This is not a reboot
Nice start on the Archer, Fozzy. In my mind, that's more like what the NX-01 should have looked like...
You might consider putting torpedo launchers in the front of the catamarans that extend past the bridge. Seems like a reasonable place for them, and I don't see anywhere else that you could have forward launchers.

Looking great! I like that USS Archer. Very interesting and good looking lines out to the nacelles.

I don't like the idea of launchers at the ends of the cats. Plus as they are now they are only temp and the final version shouldn't look anything like they do now.
UPDATE...
I started to add a few things to the saucer. I've added some nav lights. reaction control thrusters and whatever those three window like things are at the front of the saucer.

Re: This is not a reboot
UPDATE...
Well I thought I might as well get back to work.
I've started on textures for the bridge, I still need to add a little dirt. Those two holes below the bridge are torpedoe launchers.
After seeing the new Enterprise I thought I'd make a few changes to the Nav Deflector. I have two options and I haven't decided witch one I like more.

The deflector looks outstanding.
This ship design isn't one of my favorites but I like what you've done with it and where you seem to be going.
Way cool job!

Re: This is not a reboot
It took me a minute to notice the difference on the deflectors. The 2nd one looks a little better, IMO.

Re: This is not a reboot
UPDATE...
Added windows to the B and C deck and phasers. On the back of the B and C deck is the Captains personal quarters/bachanal/harem room.
I also have two pics of what could turn out to be a shuttle

Re: This is not a reboot
Well, it is the Terran Empire. I guess some fleet captains aren't content with just one "Captain's Woman."
Great stuff, bro.

Re: This is not a reboot
Thank you.
And because the power of J.J. compels me I felt like doing a Kelvin version of the ship. Right now the shapes are just temp to see if it would work.

Re: This is not a reboot
Damn, someone needs go get you some more views so you can build the actual Kelvin. Having said that, your attempt at a Kelvin-ish ship using established Trek parts does look pretty sweet. In fact, I think I like your saucer better than the one on the movie ship but that's because I too am a fan of the classic look.

Re: This is not a reboot
From what I've seen of the Kelvin, I really like the look of her and it looks like she takes on hell of a beating.
UPDATE...
The first two pics are of the textures for the b and c deck.
The second pic shows some of the saucer rim detail including the shuttle bay on on side and the cargo bay on the other.
The next pic shows a side view of the Kelvin because someone asked for it.
The last pic could be my version of Enterprise. Or not.

Re: This is not a reboot
Thank you.
UPDATE...
Except for some grid lines the upper saucer is done.
I also added phasers and torpedoe tubes to the lower saucer.

Re: This is not a reboot
My only suggestion would be to maybe round the corners on the rectangles that the little phaser emitters sit on, but that's just just a personal preference thing. It looks good.

I can't remember if I beveled those edges or not.
UPDATE...
Last night I started thinking more about the shuttle and started to really get some work done.

Nice start. I like the TOS body with the TNG-ish impulse engine section.

Re: This is not a reboot
I was thinking it looks like the shuttles used in the TOS movies.
UPDATE...
Other than a few smoothing issues I'm thinking the build for this is done. I've got the viewports and main doors done. Some kind of details for the lower forward section.
And finally impulse engines and aft details.

Yeah, that was my thought as well (I'm assuming you mean that one model that was in STV and Generations.) But that was basically a reworking of the Type-6 shuttle from TNG, so I gave credit to them.

Re: This is not a reboot
UPDATE...
Started on the textures. The shuttle will be two colors. The bottom color is kind of a dark blue grey and the uper color will be more of a light grey.
