Outstanding job! I'd go with NX on the registry if it is to be a competitve design against the Defiant.

Okay I turned off the shadows so you can see the textures better
I have fined tuned the textures to taste....re-adjusted the registry settings (no colors added yet) so I am complete to this point

Sweet! Alright after a slight setback a huge leap forward! I am complete to this point with the exception of the actual registry colors. Just the masks are complete [the blue is so I can see how they look]

Yeah I think I am going to have to re-do all my previous meshes with this new most excellent Nico taught way to texture
A few words on the lights. Developed better efeects? I would say a learning process but the light dome is a light blue the textures are actually grey
Thoughts?

The two above images.....
Are you refering to the blue registry color vs black? I am currently working on the placement of the registry and strips thus the color [not actual colors placed yet]
Or are you refering to the blue-gray light kicker I am using?

I think he was referring to the brilliant-blue registry - I wondered why the colors were so extreme for a while, too, until you explained it above.

Alrighty then
I started the pre-liminary run on the wing nacelles [Not to too happy with them as of yet] I am considering re-doing some of the stripes
I just noticed I am missing a most crucial peice of missing detail and am unable to locate it [the rear phaser array] should not take me long to replace

first an explanation of the weapon systems....second I deleted the lights and added the default lighting 3 point set-up
On one of those renders I got a mat setting turned off so relax about that...other than this the mesh is moving forward

Well, I could say that there's always on more poly you can remove, but that's cruel.
It's great.

To be or to not be this is the pondering dilemma...I have completed the weapon textures [not the mine bay obviously]
Am very satisfied with the outcome of this texture solution.
THERE will be NO changes to this solution for the most part I am complete with this semester of school so can spend the next several weeks finishing this baby
What you have here is 3 separate renders. One default render with no render effects, One Brazil render with no render effects, and one Brazil render with render effects. My current light setup may or may not be to anyone’s liking but they will stay until I am done with the textures :amazed: :thumb: :amazed:

Excellent!
Oddly enough, I actually prefer the default, no effects render. It looks more realistic.

Just to clarify that Default render is the textures. Most people do not have Brazil [except rio is getting famous] and can adjust that render to taste. My render effects are to my taste so people do not see that often. So then bottom linre default render is what they actually look like
Just to clarify........
And SeanR made an excellent suggestion concerning the registries and look forward to developing them accordingly [to his suggestion]
