The Olympic Bridge seems to be all one piece and a very large file lol.

I'll try it.

It doesn't even have to be Trek.

A generic one would do.

Content Paradise has a generic starship bridge for $20 which you can get Trek textures for, also you could try www.trekmeshes.ch as they have an "Olympus bridge (TNG era)" in many file formats, and they're only around 1 MB each.

Yeah, that was what I meant to say. Olympus bridge. That's the one we have here in our downloads section. We also have it in 4 formats, Max, LW, .3DS and its original .COB format, though they're more than 1 MB each.

@Cryptie: Which format did you try that was all 1 piece? I know the .COB isn't (I've downloaded it for trueSpace before) but it might import into other programs that way. Did you try .3DS?

Beyond that, I know seanr has done other bridges and so have some other people for TNG-era but I have no idea if they've released them.

I recommend the LW one, then head on over to the blender site, grab blender, load the LW file, and convert it to .obj, most programs seem to have little trouble loading .obj files.

a word of warning, do not delete either the .obj or its companion .mtl file until you've saved into the native format of the app you're using.

if you need help with the conversion process, just ask.

Either that or grab the .cob, get the free version of trueSpace (3.2,) and you'll have the original file in its original format and it won't be all in 1 piece. That way, you can also grab the Luuv plug-in for tS 3.2 and convert the whole mesh or parts of it to .obj format. If you use the .lwo format conversion, you'll be stuck with the bridge all in 1 piece again.

We have plenty of uniform stuff here in the Downloads. Depends on what you're looking for, program/type wise/etc. Majority is Poser 4 stuff. No "Enterprise" unis though.

So, I was wondering: could anyone in here grab me the chairs from the Olympus model? I'm in desperate need of reference material, but SketchUp won't load the model; it's to big for it to handle. Thanks in advance

If possible the models themselves; I like to revolve stuff to get a better grasp at how it's made

SeanR's Olympus chairs are a good choice to use as an example. I used them a while back as a ref to build some chairs and I'm happy with the results.

Which models are you using? I am getting ready to attempt some uniform textures for the V4 bodysuit for TOS using the DAZ Studio M.L.I.E. plugin for the rank. I haven't done any textures since my old HLDM days. Should be fun. I am still chasing down reference data for the TOS uniform ranks.

@ Old Hippie100-
If you use Crossdresser you can take the Trek Tunics and TOS movie shirt from this site and convert them to work with the M3 figures in both D|S and Carrara.

You can also import the tunic into D|S and then use the adjustment dials to tweak the abdomen and chest parts (rotate them forward a bit) and then the shoulders and you can line up the P4 tunic to work with M3.

I have done this with M3 and M3SR2 and it works.

You may need to do a bit of post work - but there is also a simple work around for this as well. You use Photoshop (or similar program) and copy the colour of the Trek tunic to the body (chest and arms) of the 2nd skin you'd apply to your Kirk figure. This way when you pose (or animate) your Kirk (M3) figure any poke through you may get will at least be the colour of the tunic and not nearly as noticable.

I have a Trek animated short coming down the pipeline and I've had to do a good amout of clothing prop conversions for the M3 figure. If you need any help with your clothing let me know and I'll do my best to help.

Hey, how do you think I feel?
I have a folder on my machine with CROSSDRESSER written on it.

I can't help but wonder what my friends and family think when they see that!
LOL!

Imagine what a hacker would think. Or if the government seized your PC for some reason and started going through your files.

Well, hackers would be disappointed in the content of the folder and odds are the government has already been inside my computer... I go to dangerous websites that promote freedom of speech and Constitutional rights.

LOL!

I do have a nice collection of P4 clothing props from this site that I've converted to work with DAZ Studio (D|S) and Carrara. I'll share them if you want 'em and as long as their original creators (people like that Warrior feller) are o.k with it.
