Re: The Hello Thread
Hi,
I'm also new here. I played around with poser a bit (quite a long time ago (I think it was Poser 3) and finally I came back to Poser (7) some weeks ago.

Hello all! I'm new here, as you may know. I like to produce images mainly for my own personal use. I use Poser 7, 3ds, Bryce, and Photoshop.

Re: The Hello Thread
Hi, I'm new here, too. Guess there's a couple new member threads around here, so I'll give a bit more info on myself.
Big fan of Dr Who.. only recently became a fan of BSG, so I'm not as knowledgeable about it, but I'm working on that as I work my way through the episodes. Very awesome so far.
I do a bit of 3d art using DAZ Studio. I'll post any I feel worthy of posting here in these forums.
Well, hello again!

Re: The Hello Thread
Hi all
I am new to the boards.
I have just started on the road of 3D art after many years of game modding. I have always wanted to make the models instead of coding them and thought i'd try it now i have more spare time on my hands.

Re: The Hello Thread
Hello all, found the link over at the Daz forum and thought I'd stop by. Still fairly new to 3D rendering myself, I dabbled a bit until a vicious computer meltdown and am just getting back into the swing of things. Primarily use daz3d but own poser 6 (just for the dynamic cloth room) and dabble with deep-paint for the afterwork.
Great looking site and look forward to picking the brains of the pros with some hopefully not too lame questions.
Peace!

But yet i am not that good in 3D modeling just yet i can find a good free one to use. i am a nice guy here if you try to piss me off well you can't but don't try. I just wanted to see if i can get better and this place looks like a good place to start. i am 15 and i live in Texas.

Re: The Hello Thread
Hello everyone,
I'm somewhat new here, although I used to frequent the forums
awhile back. My artwork has been suffering lately due to real life
issues, and I'm hoping this holiday break will restart my creative juices.
I'm a die hard scifi enthusiast, so I really like what you have here.

I originally started using Bryce and then became interested in DazStudio,
which I currently use. Will be getting back to Bryce (mostly for space scenes and alien landscapes). Also trying to learn Carrara.

Re: The Hello Thread
Hello sdorsey.
I cut my teeth on Bryce v.1 when I first got into CG.
Carrara is my weapon of choice so if you need help with something feel free to ask. If I don't already know it, I can probably figure it out.
Welcome to the forums and I look forward to seeing some of your artwork.

Thank you for your offer of assistance. I know I will have a great need for it. The laptop I'm using has Vista (my worst nightmare). I should have backgraded it to XP when I got it, but wanted to give Vista a chance. However, I'm going to stick with it until I'm confortable with Carrara, before upgrading to Windows 7.

good luck with that ..
Great to see so many Carrara and daz users joining up..
don´t have a clue about them myself apart from what Fretslayer tells me.
I am now hoping to see loads of new art been shown and not only models and wips ..
of course those are great too . but he modelling is only the
beginning.
