Much of what I'm workin gon is based on the DS9 tech manual. So the size is about right. It's smaller than it looks.
UPDATE...
Blocked in the wings.

Yeah, I just looked at my DS9 tech manual. I forgot that the tiny side windows on the Assault vessel are very misleading. (plus, I was thinking of the little impulse ship when I posted that)
The wings look good so far, dude. In fact, they make the whole ship look a lot better.

This actually turns out to be only about ten meters longer than a runabaout. I must have miss measured at on point because I thought it was bigger but I prefer the smaller size myself.

UPDATE...
Did a little work on the bridge section. This pic shows where I'm thinking of putting some hatches.
*attach#1*
Added some support under the wings and I might add a docking ring to the underside of the ship. It will be hidden under a hatch that will pot out and slide forward.
*attach#2*
I think I'll name the ship for Kia Opaka.

Nice work. I like the idea for the docking hatch on the bottom.

That's pretty sweet, dude. I really like the Bajoran emblem on the airlock door.

While cleaning up a few things on the Bajoran ship I came up with two more federation designs. These are both very rough versions.
This is a small ship meant to be like the Oberth class.
*attach#1*
This is a much larger ship. Slightly larger than the Galaxy class.
*attach#2&3*
These are the last of the federation ships for now. I still need to do Vulcan, Romulan and Andorian ships.

UPDATE...
Put in some more portholes above the bridge. Softened the wing edges and added phasers to them. At first I was just playing around but I really like the way they look. I don't know if I'll add torpedo tubes or not but if I do they might be placed up front on the sides of the bridge. *attach#1*
Added a bit of detail to the airlock hatch a some blue glowy bits to the wing support. Who doesn't like blue glowy parts? *attach#2*
Just so nobody asks. No I will not be doing interiors for this ship.

Hmmmm.... not a whole lot there yet. Having said that, that first configuration looks a little to me like a cross between the Oberth and Constellation classes. The second one looks like it could really make a mean battleship.

Ah, almost missed the Bajoran update (it was hiding on the next page. ) Looks friggin' sweet, bro. I really like those wings, especially now that you added the phasers and cool supports complete with glowy bits.

UPDATE...
Addded a torpedo tube to the top of the ship. Looked like the best place. The ship now has hatches to get in and out of the ship when landed.
More just for fun.

UPDATE...
I moved the airlock and hatch a little bit forward to give the aft torpedo tube more room. There are a few more detail bits and four landing pads. There also a bit more added to the bridge area. That splash of color will be the base coat for the textures. (#1-3)
A close up of some of the stuff. (#4)

Nice work. Do the landing pads extend down some or does the ship just land on its belly?

Lands on it's belly. I'll have to work in some kind of thruster system to help do that.

Yeah. Maybe a wing ejection or folding system for emergencies too. If you're trying to land that thing and the vertical thrusters are offline, you're likely to hit the ground with those wings first and cause serious damage, some of which could travel up the wing to the fuselage, especially in the case of fires.

Re: Federation Civil War
I'll leave the folding and ejection systems to the imagination.
UPDATE...
Here you can see some basic textures for the engines and an idea to fill in a spot on the wing supports. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do anything here or not. (#1)
I've done the windows for the bridge. I'll keep the black because I don't want to spend time on doing a full interior for it. I wanted this ship to be simple and not spend too much time on it. It also includes some details on the wing. (#2)
Here is a closer view of it.(#3)
Here is a bottom view. (#4)

Re: Federation Civil War
UPDATE...
Trying to finish the modelling on this thing.
There's a few more details on the wings. Some minor work on the upper bridge section. I also rebuilt the phaser cannons. It's now made up of only two objects instead of the mant I had used before. I also decided the round the tip of the barrel. (#1)
Close up of the new cannon. (#2)
On the underside I've added more details to the bridge. I've also added 6 small landing thrusters to the back of the ship. (#3)
I've got another freelance job so I don't know when I'll get a chance to work on this or my other ships.
