The original is 3DMax by Jeff "Zoomey" Murcko at SciFi-Meshes.

BTW, your TOS image has been approved for the Gallery. Post it in the Finished Art forum and I'll comment there on it

I'm using TS 3.2. I can import older .lwo, but I tried one from 5.6 and it couldn't read it. I can also import .3ds.

As for the image, thanks for letting me know. I just wanted to contribute to the Trek gallery, it's growing nicely, BTW. But I've got projects I'm working on, so I posted one of my older pics. I've got something rendering right now that I'll put in the forum

Yeah, that's the only thing I feel is lacking from you site, more TS-friendly meshes. I know there aren't a lot of us TS users because a lot of people underestimate it, but it's a good program

TS 3.2 is the prog I started with I even upgraded to TS 5.2 ..... but I alway had my eye on LW mainly because of star trek ships that where avalible . but I never tried to build anything ..... look I had LW for about a year and I only started to build anything 4 weeks ago more of less

I have some TS pictures still around some could be here if not. I can alway locate and post them ..

I don't know if Warrior or anybody else is viewing this, but I couldn't find the answer to this in the FAQ. Exactly how do I post pics in my forum replies/threads. I want to put some pics in the art forum but I don't know how.

Get the link for the Gallery after the images are aproved, then use the IMG BB codes for posting the pics.

Thanks. I knew I should've put this in the help forum, but I thought it was dumb to waste a whole thread on what was going to be a simple answer. Your site just does things a little differently than scifi-meshes, which I'm used to. I guess I'll have to upload a couple more pics to get approved

Not sure what you mean about uploading more to get approved. if you mean you want to upload more and get them apporved so you can post them, then ok.

If you mean you need to upload more to get approved for something else, then I'm confused

You can import OBJ format, right?

Yeah, the one I had sucked. Besides, it made LW objects into one bigh white mesh. That's not an easy thing to paint.

You don't even want to see what it did to .3ds objects. The funny thing is, it was the highest rated one at 3dlinks.com. I guess the people that rated it never tried to convert to .cob format.

Try the Deep Explorer demo. It's good for 30 days and converts good.

Just convert as many meshes as possible before the 30 days is up!

Actually, they're up to 3.6 now. It's one of thos WIP programs that's free to use forever, but it doesn't do as much as it does when you register. And it doesn't do .max no matter what

Actually, I just had a ray of light shine on my crappy day. It seems I can import LW 5.6 It was just the V.I.N.CENT model TS 3 didn't like

I downloaded your Romulan BOP and it loaded great

edit: Actually, that thing's gonna take about an hour on my connection. It's getting early right now, so I'd better get some sleep. I promise to make that one of my top priorities later. After all, I want that model

Hey, I had to UPLOAD both on a 56K, and DOWNLOAD the original Max version (LOTS bigger zip file) on a 56K :laugh:

It worked

Fortunately, I had First Blood to watch while it was downloading. I imported the objects and glued them back together. I'll have to reapply the textures later, but the ship looks good. It's really small on my screen (it was either that or really big. I'll have to move in on it later) but it looks like an untextured version of your picture.

I guess I shouldn't have assumed I couldn't load this format based on one failure. It's too bad about that V.I.N.CENT model, that's the only one of those I've seen. I'm glad I got this beast downloaded when I did, because not two minutes after it was done, Net Zero kicked me offline.

I'm happy now. This means there are a lot more ships on this site I can download, like that collection of Pre-TOS ships. Unfortunately, TS doesn't do your beautiful NX-01 justice. I downloaded that one already and it looks funky. I have no doubt that that's due to my program, not your model. Unfortunately, that happens when importing into TS sometimes.

Warrior your doing a great job on these S.A.A.B. conversions to LW. Keep up the good work. Are you planning on adding the basic Chig fighter as well.

Ron, unless someone sends me 3DS versions of the remaining meshes or I get Max 8, I can't convert them.
