Default Vue Crash Scene

It's a WIP - so I expect feeback (versus the feedback you get when it's 'done')

Anyway, I've run into problems with model import from MAX to Vue and have decided to build everything in the Vue modeler. Unfortunately, the tool is too much like Bryce with respect to models so I'm reading tips on how to build with just primitives. I think I am about 5% done (loooong way to go). This took 15 minutes to render and is not even in 'real' mode (actually called Ultra).

This is looking pretty good so far. Needs a primitive humanoid pointing at it in wonder

Great work as always!

That's great! Reminds me of those opening scenes filmed at Lake Powell from the original Planet of the Apes. Are you going to make the ship burn? That'd be cool!

Thanks folks! Well, both great ideas. I was thinking of having a crewman / alien in the scene somewhere in the foreground. I will likely have to beg for a good Poser mod cuz I suck at Poser. Burning, hmmm - sounds good. I think I can do that in Vue (Vue can do it - I just have to figure it out).

i think it will look really pretty. some transition between water/sand and water/black rocks and sand/black rocks would make it look less CG i think.
