Re: USS Hawking (Nova class variant)
You know I like it.
The only thing that bugs me about the "Rhode Island" variant is that the saucer deflector seems so small compared to the Equinox.

nice work ....
I like these smaller ships .. really give the impression of traveling into danger more than the Galaxy etc. harking back the constitution class
in a sense for me

Re: USS Hawking (Nova class variant)
Don't get me wrong, I still like the Rhode Island variant. I just like the Equinox better. My favorite, though, is the original Defiant Pathfinder design. But, at leas they made the design "canon," even if they did turn it into a planetary science vessel. (that made Cpt. Ransom's journey more harrowing) It was too good a design to stay on the sketch pad, IMO.

I like them both but Rhode Island was my favorite because they changed the hull on the saucer section. I just thought it looked better in my opinion. As for my ship, I am writing a tech manual and in it I have the warp core upgraded from the one the Equinox had that could only go to warp 8 to the warp engine out of a Defiant class ship. Since the engine was made for the Defiant Pathfinder it would make a great addition to the Nova variant. I also added rear torpedo launchers like Voyagers, even though it is a science vessel she can defend herself it need be.
