Okay ... I will post in here some of my WIP projects that look like they might actually finish one day.

Have started on the bridge ... more later.

Here's a peek at a Klingon Beard ... n.b. textures will be different.

I haven't combed the download area (yet) ... are they uploaded there? I might be interested.

And if anybody has a great big Klingon Ship to put this bridge into that would be cool too.

there is a Klingon battle cruiser in the downloads area. Star Trek / Non-Federation area .. its the TOS design (

) we don´t have TMP version at the
moment.

but the bridge would be suited to the D7 design

Well then we'd need a Klingon Ship of the D7 design!

No rush, ... bridge can fly alone right?! hehehe ...

The first bridge I created from scratch was for a much smaller craft ... but when I went to put it in the available craft, the ship was so full of faces etc inside that there was no room! And in removing obstacles, well, they were holding the ship together apparently ... "poof"! No phasers even! As that particularly bridge had to integrated in with the ship's hull ... project was scrapped for the time being.

So, this time ... working with your bridge ... trusting that if/when/somehow there may be a ship to put it in ... but if not that's okay too 'cause it has walls! And who knows ... maybe by the time I'm finished I will have figured out how to build a few more walls etc.

my thinking is all you have to do is redress the bridge to make it fit in with the D7.. perhaps lighter shades and add some of those partitions that is seen in the TOS .. I can make some changes if you want to give it a TOS feel ..

Well, I downloaded it ... will see if anything I have can open it. I did manage to get one lwo item opened and converted to an object ... rather interesting looking mess in the middle of the corridor ... I rather doubt was there in the original version.

I will have a look and see if I can look at the KB in a day or so .. I will also see if I can change the textures to make it look more TOSish ..

bare with me I have a ton of modeling that I am doing ,, but I promises to get it to you. if I look like I am taking to long, give me a nudge

Well at the rate I'm working this, hopefully by the end of January I'll have the bridge ready. For myself, no need to worry about the textures ... I'm "Aquarius", "Queen of Aquarius" ... read somewhere that the ships had either a green tinge or purple ... yet so many choose green ... think you know where I'm headed ... PURPLE. Yes.

good enough .. glad to help ...... you might have now seen that these bridges and sets are version one ....... Version 2 are in the plans for the new year...

as we have a great internal set designer dropping in and giving me some ideas and direction that I did not have before....

expect better things in 2011

Okay ... here we go ... one Klingon Beard ... prop file ... and no I don't know how to get Poser to do anything except "save as" ... so it's got lights, and cameras ... and I think it had 2 grounds ... you might want to delete a few of those!

you mean doug? i'd suggest combing his blog should be mandatory for anyone who wants to make sets

I do look through Doug pages, in fact I like the model he built of the old TOS set in a Vector Program I think and then Lightwave. but I am not sure with out going back and checking.

Oh I have got to get a bigger screen! That's one small upload button on this netbook.

I tried ... forgot a field and I gather it went nowhere ... haven't time right now to repeatedly type in info.

But I do want to mention that the file has been updated over in sharecg.com ... it's now a "clean" .pp2 file [no extra lights etc]

So ... well ... hmm ... not happening today ...

Okay ... got some work done on the bridge ... loaded in the ship ... "one tiny thing happened" ... and Hexagon ate a day's work!!!

So I spent the rest of the day taking apart the ship.
It's lovely! Nice and clean inside ... Hexagon does have a problem reading all the faces 'cause I'm sure it didn't start off with quite as many, and large, holes that Hexagon claimed it had. It's been truly a fun learning item ... have filled in most of the holes one way or another ... hope you like the new roof. Has a new hood too so texturing it won't be too problematic.

And I took it to pieces! Yes ... why, so we can have some fun with this ship. You'll be able to hide parts for easier viewing inside ... blow it apart in battle, and FLY. Yes ... what I call flying ... there's this image in my mind from one of the movies in which it appeared that the BOP actually moved it's wings somehow as it was cloaking/decloaking ... and that's the option I'm hoping to make happen here.

I'm posting some pics here now too ... I'd like some feedback as to which method "those who are planning to download this" are preferring to see happen as far as the "how to put the bridge on the ship" goes.
