i know this isnt that good at the moment, and that the worm hole doesnt fit in with the battle crab, but at the time i was just fiddling with the wormhole to see is i could get to to shine right.......which i think ive managed to do........anyway here it is.for now (gonna get back to work on it and see if i can get some ambient light from the wormhole to fall onto the crab..

The shine is excellent but the walls of the wormhole look too solid.

Yeah, but I can pretty much guarantee you didn't join to just get models, as some do.

Re: B5 Art Work
Didn't you guys have practically the exact same one-sided discussion in another thread?
Look, D-a-k-a, 5 posts doesn't mean post 5 words in random threads just so you can download files. An actual full comment would be nice. (which is, I think, what Warrior was getting at.)

Re: B5 Art Work
I´ll coming back to GRAY´s image - The Waterhole looks very nice ( Not for a B5 image ) but for some other effects, like timejumps, stargate-wormholes or anything out of babylon 5
I agree with lord ravensburg ( about being busy ) otherwise if you are working eight days a week you don´t really have so much time if you wish to have...

Re: B5 Art Work
Ahhh - where is my brain. I´ve totally forgotten the "reason" why I clicked on this page.
I´ve updated the illumination of the "Narn Patrol 2258" ( see gallery ) Here is a thumbnail of it - what are you thinking about it ?

Re: B5 Art Work
Now it seems toned down too much.
Given the light is causing a haze in the space area the ships are in, the ships too should have that haze around them.

Re: B5 Art Work
Yeah, definitely more haze and a touch of gaussian blurring. Right now the ships are crisper than the backgroud. Also, the rocks have a bit of volumetric lighting going on, so the ships should have some too.

Re: B5 Art Work
hi eg180 and warrior
You mean more like this...
The main-problem was to set the value of the haze not too high so we can see the background-image anymore

Re: B5 Art Work
Yeah, that could definitely be a problem. Plus, any haze you add will make the rocks look even more hazy so there will still be a contrast. It's a conundrum.
That latest version looks better, though.

Re: B5 Art Work
Wormhole visualizations in science fiction always bother me a bit. We imagine them as long tunnels cutting through time and space but they prob wouldn't even look like tunnels. They may not even be long...traveling though them might be more instant than we realise.
Just a thought.
