IMAGE: ALIEN EGGROOM DETAILED CLOSE-UPS
Hi all,
thanks again for yuor responses. Attached are two images showing the level of detail in the entire scene. I just wanted to push MAX to the limit. However i could RADICALLY optimize this scene for realtime use.
yes I have the mesh and textures for this image/scene, if anyone has use for them.

Most definitely. I'd love to have this and try a conversion to Lightwave. Be a great piece to go with the Alien Pilot and processing plant we have in the Downloads.

This was done in 2002, just before working for Angel Studios (Rockstar).
I'm going to try loading it using Max 2011 and my main PC, its RAIDED, overclocked to 4.5 GHZ using a hex core AMD, 24GB PC 130000 ram, 2 tb hds(Hardware RAIDED)
I'll bet it chokes.
I have that feeling.

Does Max 2011 allow legacy saving, ie saving to a Max 9 format?

3ds max does not allow saving back to a 2009 format, but does have an option to save as 2010 format. I don't know if that is of any help.
