Re: ulimann644´s Fleetyard
Actually, I like the 3rd nacelle under the ship better than over it. I'm not a big fan of 3 nacelles, but I think it looks better this way.
Great start on both meshes.

Re: ulimann644´s Fleetyard
It´s a long time... How you doing ulimann ?
As you wrote, naceles in the underside don´t looks cool... Looks like a kitbash, and remember the Niagara class. But it´s her design, so.... nothing to do.
The station looks cool.

Unfortunately both meshes rest in peace... after a HD-Crash (ARRRGH...!!)
But I think, I´ll make it new next year...
In the moment, I work on two new models - the first is a DAEDALUS-CLASS variant created by Christopher Freeman. I saw his Design by writing my FF-MU-Story "Inheritance of the Empire" - and one of the main-characters use a DAEDALUS as his Flagship.
So I decided to make a MU-Version - based on Freemans Design (but a little larger - Lenght 239 Meters...)
The Model so far:
The second project is a model of another Fan-Fiction-Starship, I´ve created in 2009 as a sketch on paper...
The Battleship-Carrier EAS SHERIDAN
Now the first episode of my FF-Series BABYLON-6 (the inofficial name of Military-Starbase: MFB-VI-023, used by the Crew... ) is written, so it´s time to start with the Flagship of the main-character: Generalmajor Lynden B. Hayes...
This ship was commissioned in November 2291 (ten years after Sheridans "death" in the episode "Sleeping in light")
The Model so far:
Hope to finish the DAEDALUS this year (31. 12. at 23:58 or so... ) and the EAS SHERIDAN next year...

Never mind... ALmost one year later of my post, a repply!
It´s good to know you´re still alive and kicking Ulrich. I´m sorry about the hd crash.
The new Dedalus lokks to much cool. All the elements were well integrated and works very well together. ABout the Sheridan, I fell the missing of something... maybe the rotating "arms" ?
Looks like your skills evolved a lot in the meantime. Welcome back old friend!

Thank you...
Unfortunately I was a longer time in a hospital - so I can´t answer some posts in different forums, but now I´m okay again...
The SHERIDAN is a modern ship that didn´t need Rotating-Sections... It should be a mix between the OMEGA- and the WARLOCK-CLASS.
The last two years I tried to learn more about C4D and MAX (not easy, ´cause my true passion is to write Fan-Fiction - and that takes much of my time... )

Re: ulimann644´s Fleetyard
Longer time in a hospital?! I don´t want to be intrusive but looks like it was serious. Some sort of accident?
Well, hope that all is going fine for now.

Nice work. I was doing that version of the Daedalus a while back, but I lost interest and haven't finished it.

Re: ulimann644´s Fleetyard
I´m on the way to test some structures for the Hangars of the EAS SHERIDAN. I´m not sure if I´ll use red or blue lights inside for the final version...
I´m also working on the ISS DAEDALUS - a few Details are now ready...
I think, that I can finish the model this year, but I guess that the Textures will take more time...

Re: ulimann644´s Fleetyard
Hossa...!!
I´ve worked hard on the DAEDALUS the last days, and it´s nearly ready for duty now.
Only a few details and the Imperial Admiral: John Jefferson Pickett can lead it into action...
The most details (also the red lines) are modeled - I´ve just used four Textures (one for the Imperial Logo, and three for the hull) for this model...

Re: ulimann644´s Fleetyard
Nice. Very nice
The deflector dish - Just a minor suggestion, but make it a bit darker and more red-brownish in color to see how it looks.

Thanks for the tip - I´ll do it the next days, when I model the four thruster and positiion-lights at the lower half of the primary-hull...

Though, right now, it's very similar in color to the one on the NX.

True...
My ISS SCHARNHORST-Model is nearly colored this way - and in my Fan-Fiction the ISS DAEDALUS is commissioned just six years earlier...
So I give this model colors that matches with the NX-Class and also with my SCHARNHORST...
Here are the final Orthographics...
Pics of the final model, I´ve posted here:

Re: ulimann644´s Fleetyard
Really nice...
The first day of my vacation, so I can sleep a little longer, and... I waked up at 03:20 a.m. and can´t sleep anymore...
So - this is the result of a sleepless night... (10-11 hours or so...)
The basic-form of the planned MARYLAND-CLASS.
Later it should have two Narcelles at short Pylons at the sides and a weapons-pod, like the SOYUS-CLASS, behind the Bridge... (but a little smaller, as the SOYUZ-Variant... )

Re: ulimann644´s Fleetyard
I usually don't even go to bed by 3:20 AM. Though, yesterday, I woke up at 9 AM after going to bed around 5 AM, so that was probably about the same difference.
Nice work so far on the ship. I've always liked the Soyuz-class, so something based on it sounds cool.

@EG180
I know what it means...
In my time in Vienna I worked four years long from 14:00-22:00 (official, but sometimes from 12:00-01:00 - also Saturdays...)
BTT:
My Ugly Flying Pancake is nearly ready (Now you really know, what UFP means... )

It's a good looking ship, but the underside is a little plain.

@EG180
True.
That´s the reason why it´s still WIP...
I plan to give it - aside from some plates - two Pulsphasers and the contours of the retractable undercarriage. (And than I can use it for some FF-Covers... )

My bad english...
I mean the visible underside of the "landing gear"...
But I´ve decided yesterday that this "landing-gear" is not visible in flight, like that at the VOYAGER.
I´ve added some more details and the two Pulsphaser-Cannons - and I think it´s enough now - I want to render it later for some covers and for my FF-WIKI more from the upper side...
I know that this model is not very detailed and also really not made professional but I´ve just made it, that people can imagine, how the MARYLAND-CLASS basically looks like.
And I guess it´s not sooo bad for a FanFiction-Writer...
