Default snub fighter--starwars type ship

There is no back story for this fighter. So far it is unnamed and unassociated with any organization.

bigger pic (999 x something)

Sketched, shaded, and small detailing in pencil, outlined in ink.

Pretty cool. Looks more Buck Rogers to me though. Seeing as how the Starfighter was supposed to be a concept for Star Wars though, we come full circle to your description :p

I dig it. Smooth configuration, texture, and those engines are tough. Nice work.

Great design! Looks fast and powerful. Are you going to model it?

I don't have current plans to model it, but maybe sometime in the future I'll get around to it.

Oh, I've been around longer than Brown.

Fuzzyslippers is my favorite sketch artist. Trying to outdo him is a task indeed.

Cargile's been around since the beginning of this place - before that, in fact.

He's just a low-key sort of guy.

I have too many creative outlets. hehe. Currently I have a desire to experiment with ink and work in a graphic novel/comic genre style. This direction is inspired by the work of Milton Caniff, a cartoonist circa the 1950's famous for the strip "Steven Cannon"--which I'm familiar through a three volume cartoon drawing instruction set my father bought back in the late 60's (books I credit towards developing my skill.) Caniff had a great talent for detail and contrast which I haven't seen duplicated, especially in this era of color. I also want to do things larger than the sketchbook size, which poses a problem of scanning.
Lately I've been busy with an architectural software, designing a home patterned after ancient Roman villas. I can upload pics of this when I'm at a point of near completion. This project has superceded any other modeling.
Then there's that damn Fender that demands I play with it at least six out of seven days.
You guys are lucky you even get unfinished WIPs out of me.

Looks great man!

I like it a lot.

Oh and jsut a note, the Buck Rogers Starfighter was made for the never realized 2nd Season of BSG and was supposed to be a two man tactical bomber.

And that's one to grow on
