Prometheus

Could not find any thread to the new flick from Mr Cameron.

So lets get started. Anyone seen the trailer? Who is going to the cinema? Oppinions?

You mean the film set in the Alien universe by Alien Director Ridley Scott? James Cameron did Aliens and, to my knowledge, has nothing to do with Prometheus. Besides, he's busy working on Avatar 2 and 3. Fox was bugging Ridley to come back and direct another Alien sequel, but he agreed only on the condition that it could be a film set in the same universe, not a sequel. I can't really say I blame him, after what they did to the franchise with Alien 3 and Resurrection.

I've seen the trailer, but I don't go to movie theaters anymore. However, Prometheus is one of the few films I'm actually looking forward to this year. I'll see it when it comes out on Netflix.

Ouch sorry yes of course it is Mr Scott. Mixed up late last night.

I do not go to theaters either. The cost is unbearable. Will you get the DVD though? What are pros and cons on the movie?

I don't really know any pros and cons until I see it. It looks cool and it's set in the same universe as Alien. Other than that, I'll reserve any and all judgment until I see the movie after it comes out on DVD and I get one in the mail from Netflix.

I rarely go to the theater anymore. Maybe 2 or 3 times a year. However I will be seeing Prometheus in the theater. It's a must for me Alien and Blade Runner are two of my favorite all time sci-fi films. So I will be splurging.

I am very much looking forward to this film and seeing what the "space jockeys" are all about. Since Ridley Scott is in charge I have high hope for it.
