LOOK Firefox 1.0PR BUG with VB forums WYSIWYG Editor - solution!

many users of Firefox who have recently updated to version 1.0 PR will have noticed problems with the WYSIWYG enhanced message editor on vbulletin forums -- the reason is to do with the new number naming conventions of the Firefox User agent - the fastest way to rectify it is as follows:

  • open firefox
  • type about:config into the address bar
  • on the subsequent page search for the following string:
  • general.useragent.vendorsub
  • double click it and then enter the value 0.9.3 instead of the default 0.10.1
  • close Firefox - and restart and all should work fine.

Thanks for the info, my friend has been trying to persuade me for ages to get rid of buggy old IE and move over to Firefox.
Forewarned is forearmed as they say.
