I got this book for Christmas a couple years ago, and have only panned through it so far. One of these days, I'll actually sit down and read it

However, the parts I skimmed through are *real* interesting in developing alien characters and civilizations.

Anyone else seen/read this book?

Nope, this is the first I've heard of it. Sounds interesting, though...

I found that the best discussion of how alien cultures and life forms might really be is in the "Contact" project. Look them up at this site:
