I am the sound behind you
The creature that is not there
Not what I seem
I am not real
My world is of shadows
Mirrors
Where the light has no home
The blackness my domain
I am the form just beyond your sight
Gone when you look
I am nowhere
Everywhere you cannot see
At night I am strong
During the day unseen
I lay in wait
Till the night returns
I am the voice from nowhere
That calls your name
I am the unintelligible whispers
Unrecognizable
I am an illusion
A being of imagination
I exist in the mind
Created by belief
