NEW STUDENTS TO ATTEND BAYVILLE HIGH IN X-MEN: EVOLUTION SEASON 2
By: Eric J. Moreels

Source: Comics Continuum
Dateline: Tuesday, August 14, 2001
According to a recent report at the Comics Continuum Web site, when the X-Men: Evolution animated series returns for its second season on the Kids' WB! network this September, viewers will be introduced to nine new students attending Bayville High.
The new students, who will play a "New Mutants"-type supporting role to the show's core characters, will include Boom-Boom, Iceman, Berzerker, Jubilee, Sunspot, Wolfsbane, Magma, Cannonball, and Multiple Man (renamed Multiple for the show).
The majority of names will be familiar to most X-fans, except for one: Berzerker. The obscure character, able to absorb and redirect all forms of electro-magnetic energy, was a member of the Morlocks that first appeared - and was also killed in - X-Factor #11. It is unclear at this stage whether or not the animated Berzerker will be the same character, or an original creation a-la Spyke.
Boom-Boom almost appeared as a member of the team in the first season, but was eventually dropped in favor of Kitty Pryde. Boom-Boom will appear in the second season premiere as well as in the new season's third episode. Like her comic book counterpart, the animated Boom-Boom's real name is Tabitha Smith, and she possesses the ability to create and subsequently detonate balls of energy.
X-Men: Evolution will also debut as a new monthly comic book from Marvel in November, written by Devin Grayson with art by UDON's Studio XD.

According to what I've seen, Xavier isn't the only one boosting their roster. Mystique is working to get more mutants to her side, including Blob's partner in crime, Pyro.
In addition, near the end of Season 2 (I don't know if that's when or not), the Brotherhood is going to interrupt a pep-rally, or football game, saying they're students, and they are mutants, and they're not the only ones...
Avalanche: "Scott Summers, he's a mutant! Stand up there, Scotty-buddy."

Mutant hysteria. Gotta love it. Wonder how the kids weasel out of that sticky situation...

Who knows. With Xavier's powers, he could smokescreen the school long enough for Storm and Wolverine to arrive while the kids suit up and take care of business.
But I'm guessing.
