Re: ISS PHOENIX / NCC-104
It really came out great. It amazes me how you were able to start this in one program and finish it in another. I can't even be bothered to convert my finished stuff from my old software, let alone my WIPs.

Re: ISS PHOENIX / NCC-104
Many thanks.
@eg180
For a wonder there were only a few little mesh errors after converting it.
The decision to convert it and finish it in LW came spontaneously after I´ve made the CONNIE-Mesh, and saw, how easy some things was to make with LW. (Or maybe, how good I was to be able to manage some things in LW... )
The second point is: I´ve a significant higher workflow in LW, as in MAX or C4D.
@All
I´ve rendered a first Wallpaper with the PHOENIX.
Hope you like it.

Looking good. I like the background. And, of course, the model looks great.
I know what you mean about errors. I was seriously trying to convert one of my meshes one day when I realized the windows were missing from the saucer edge.

Many thanks.
I try to make a better atmosphere for the next pic with a planet.
I guess, I have had luck to convert the mesh early enough, because I´ve had nothing booled until I´ve converted it.
I´ve lost a few windows of the DAEDALUS-Mesh by converting it (and some polygons was flipped) but thank god I could fix it with the tool "make polygons" very quickly.

Re: ISS PHOENIX / NCC-104
Yeah, it's the booleans that the conversion software doesn't like. The problem is, Truespace didn't connect the cuts to a point with a line, like Lightwave does. I could probably go in and do that, but that will take time that I don't want to spend right now.

Re: ISS PHOENIX / NCC-104
I´ve worked a little bit at the lower primary hull, that it doesn´t looks any longer so flat.
And: Now I have the escape-capsules...
