USS Catherine
After I posted my USS Prometheus pic on Facebook, comments went on about the "more than two nacelles on Starfleet ships". The three nacelle Roddenberry rule was brought up, and Rick Sternbach chimed in. I mentioned I'd post a 3celler there just to aggravate everyone  Rick said go for it (rather emphatically... I think he was thinking I had a model of HIS 3celler from before he became famous), so I did. This was the image.

Some people just get too uppity about this stuff.
Rick certainly doesn't abide by the 2 nacelle rule. The Constellation class is proof of that.  Besides, you can only do so many designs with 2 nacelles before they get repetitive.

Rick wasn't upity about it. the posts were in humor. Someone else had brought up his 3celler design. He took it in good jest.
