Apollo Class
Hello!
I´m not satisfied with the current appearance of my Searcher (Buck Rogers) so, I´ll keep it on hold for while.
That said, I solved to start another wip. An old project: bring back to life an old ship from the well known wolfpack member named Eric Peterson. The Apollo class is an Ambassador variant built by Eric in 1998, and the mesh isn´t a public release. Just a bunch of peoples has the mesh. As it is for the Searcher, the Apollo don´t had to much refs available, and appeared to be impossible to get new ones since Eric said the mesh was lost... until I find Mateen.
Matten Greenway, other wolfpack member, was kind enough to provide me a few renderings of that old mesh, and now I´m trying to build a new version of her, based over renderings of that old mesh. I still need to redo the plataform and the pylons in one piece, more like the Ent-C.
Ignore the lights, cause they are just temp ones to point mesh errors (I´m happy that no one was pointed ).
The main blocks are all in place, and I´ll start to add details as my free time permits. Hope that you like.

Re: Apollo Class
That's a really great start, dude. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
Edit: BTW, I know you said on 3DSciFi that you had renderings of the model but do you have this sheet? It might come in handy. (or not )

Check my edit.
I was actually expecting that you were going to post this, since I'd already seen that you were online. So, you can say I had a bit of a head-start with that fast reply.

Re: Apollo Class
No, I don't have the mesh. The only Eric Peterson meshes I ever had were the wide release ones (Ent-A, Ent-B, Oberth-class, etc.) I found them on this site:
http://www.shipschematics.net/
I clicked on "Star Trek," "UFP and Starfleet," "TNG and Beyond..." and it's listed a little less than halfway down the page in the "Tactical Cruiser" section.

Re: Apollo Class
Thank you for the kind words. I don´t have the skills to put her in Bridge Commander, but I´ll release the mesh, so, you can use it to build the BC version.
It´s update time!
- The pylons and the plateu were redone in just one piece.
- The sensors were redone
- mesh erros were corrected
- the original version don´t had a neck, but miy version will have a small one.
It´s better?

Re: Apollo Class
What he said ! You're doing a great job on this one.
I've seen a lot of " kit bash " models where they just grab stuff from several models and stick it all together. Most of the time they don't take time to sort out the details but this model you're building gets it right from the start.

Re: Apollo Class
Like I said on 3DSciFi, she's looking great. I like the color scheme, it reminds me of the Enterprise-C, which I really like.

Thank you Chris!
The color schema will be to much similar as that one from the Ent-C, but in blue tones, instead of the green tones like in the Ent-C.

Re: Apollo Class
After sometime, updates.
- The plateau was redone;
- The plateau, the upper structures and sec hull were repositionated;
- the neck won´t have torp launchers anymore;
- the ship is a little longer now, but I believe it makes her better ballanced;
Is it better?

Re: Apollo Class
After a long hiatus, I´m back. Therefore, next updates won´t come so fast due to my small free time available.
The sec hull was totally redone, and I believe that now it looks ok.

Re: Apollo Class
Already forgot...
All the main pieces are now in place. I´m using for reference an old and low polly Apollo that I found online. The higher polly components will be installed later.

Re: Apollo Class
Update time!
All the pieces of the "new" Apollo are now in place, but I still need to increase the pollys of those pods and impulse engines. After that, I´ll begin to put the details over her.
