Alien Drone (Geiger)
When I was fixing my Andorian zip file in my Poser stuff, I came across an old Alien poser figure I had.
Lighting sucks (cuz it's Poser ) and I didn't bother trying to match it to Sean's image of his Plant.
Anyways... the REAL reason I am posting this is because I have ANOTHER Alien figure by SixPacWolf and Virus. However, I don't have any poses for it! (the one in this image I do have poses for).
Does anyone happen to have poses for the Virus v2 Alien?

Re: Alien Drone (Geiger)
Ok.. couple of images with each Alien model and the Processing Plant, all using the same lighting. Did the shot from two angles.

Re: Alien Drone (Geiger)
Which movie did you prefer, Alien (scifi/horror), or Aliens (scifi/action)?
I actually preferred the first one, Alien (scifi/horror).

Aliens (I like to be able to shoot back)
But I liked both as I am a fan of John Hurt in the first one. the eating scene and the emergence of the Alien forced me to be suspicious of breakfast cereal for some time afterwards

Re: Alien Drone (Geiger)
My favourite of the series is AVP.....wait a minute while I think on that....er, um, I have to stop making porridge made from shredded lead and eating three times a day. Alien is my favourite and the best way to see it is on the biggest screen that there is cos it really loses something when you see it on a tv and don't even get me started about the idea of watching it on an I-Pod.

Re: Alien Drone (Geiger)
That thing stills haunts my mind, even after 31 years. Gieger was a genius, I met him once at 3DO's HQ. He was picking up a scuplted "train" he made for a game project. I saw the movie when I was nine years old and terrified me more than Jaws (76' I think,) "Aliens" was also great , good cast/characters, lots of action. The blonde haired marine commander in Avatar was supposed to be cast as the sergent in Aliens but for some reason it didnt pan out.
I'm more an environmental artist but perhaps one day I'll make an Alien, from the first Alien movie, Ridley Scott did a fantastic job , directing. Read an anectode where Ridley went to Pinewood/shepperton Studios to see the finished refinery and he pulled out a Hammer and chisel and began knocking off parts that he didnt like. He "EDITED" the Nostromo. The modelmakers freaked out. Amazing how they did so much without 3D technology.

Re: Alien Drone (Geiger)
Try the Fanedit Virtual Work print. It lacks some refinment in sound in a few scenes, but you see much more of the alien. Just DLed it last week.

Re: Alien Drone (Geiger)
Those are some pretty sweet images.
The original Alien film is the best, IMO. Aliens is pretty awesome also. Alien 3 and Alien: Resurrection are absolutely dreadful. AVP is OK, though full of inaccuracies, especially on the gestation rate of the aliens and the fact that the Predators like HOT weather, so it's doubtful that Antarctica would appeal to them at all. Still, it's a fun romp. AVP2 is a cheap horror film and doesn't even rate, IMO.
