Trek Reboot
I've just got some webspace, so I thought I'd repost some art that you probably haven't seen. Since Eaves and Drexler have pretty much hit the reset button on Trek design, just for fun I rebooted the Enterprise, C, and D as if they were designed under the new regime. Apologizes to Jeffries, Sternbach, and Probert :-)
1701
1701C
1701D
1701A, B, already seem to fit fine with NX-01 and E...
:-)

I don't know... they do look interesting but I'm used to the Gene Roddenberry-approved designs of the Galaxy Class, Constitution Class, and the somewhat approved Ambassador Class. They would nicely fit in a more military-oriented timeline like the one in Yesterday's Enterprise. These ships may have taken out those three K'vort's that gave Picard a headache in that alternate future.

They're very good work, although I don't know that I necessarily like them as reboots of the originals. It certainly gives a good idea of what the ships would look like if Paramount ever tried to produce "Star Trek Redux" or something along those lines. (oh, horrors! :p)
I think it would be really neat to see these in 3D renders, though, because all three ships would be excellent stand-alone class variants, along the lines of Dennis's USS Concord or Anarion's USS Churchill.

I'd like to see a 3d model based on the C or D.

I think the Reboot-C would be a pretty big challenge, judging by the "spine" that runs through the centerline of the hull. It begins as being recessed into the saucer, rises up like a dorsal ridge over the engineering hull, then recesses again to the sunken shuttle bay. Beautiful from a visual standpoint, but I bet modelling it would be a gold-plated bitch.
So - who's up for it?

heh - how about ---
An NX-01 reboot into the Jeffries/Roddenberry universe?
This was an old drawing where I was trying to guess what the Enterprise NX-01 might look like from spy shots of the new series' shoulder patch.

I agree. I think the current designs show a nice progressive design evolution from one ship to another. However, the NX-01 compared to the NCC-1701, now that is something that should be re-worked. Remember, design styles change with new generations of engineers and designers in StarFleet.
However, I must admit, I like the work.
